About this Course

Hello, I’m David Treece, President of Treece Financial Group. I’m excited to welcome you to my Take Pride in Your Money course.

I’m happy that you've made this investment of time and money to transform your life with a BIG GAY retirement plan!

I’m a gay man and fearless financial advocate who has helped hundreds of LGBTQ clients for nearly 35 years, and I want to help you, too.

With the political and societal challenges our community is facing today, it's now more crucial than ever to claim the power of our LGBTQ+ dollars to push back against unjust laws, discrimination, and ensure that we "take care of our own".

“Money is power … and we need to use it wisely."

We need to have our legal documents in place, protect ourselves with insurance, and have a solid long-term financial plan to continue aging out loud, proud, and in control

We need to ensure our finances are best positioned and protected for our best interests

We need to spend our money with supportive companies and organizations that understand the power of our queer money.

And, we need to unify our community’s financial power to push back against regressive and discriminatory economic practices that not only affect our rights but hurt our portfolios.

Take Pride in Your Money will address all aspects of your financial wellness and security throughout your retirement.

You'll feel more in control of your money after taking this course. It could even put some money in your pocket with benefits you might not know you can get.

The lessons in this session will help you:

  1. Understand the impact of marriage (and divorce) equality on financial planning for same-sex couples, including:
  • Pensions
  • Social Security
  • Beneficiaries and Inheritance

2. Reinforce the need for proper estate planning to protect your assets and ensure your wishes are followed.

3. Discover resources to ensure the security and accessibility of your important documents.
