Beyond the many LGBTQ+ clients David offers financial planning services to, he has a long history of being a dedicated behind-the-scenes LGBTQ community advocate who has helped build the foundation that makes Miami a leader in equity and inclusion.
David is also a national leader in educating financial advisors and service professionals on LGBTQ+ clients' unique issues when it comes to financial planning and aging support services.
Even with the progress in LGBTQ+ rights over the past decades, many service providers have not adapted their businesses to address the distinct needs of the community. Given the unique legal, financial, and personal circumstances of the LGBTQ+ community, there's a need for relevant expertise for any provider serving this diverse audience.

The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force honored David for his contribution to advancing full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ+ people at its’ 2000 Annual Gala in Miami.
The Pride Center at Equality Park
David was an inaugural (an continuing for over a decade) member of Wilton Manors' The Pride Center at Equality Park Founders Circle, helping this vital South Florida community resource for social connection and HIV health outreach grow and thrive.
Miami-DADE LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce
David is the Founder and First President of the Miami-Dade LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce. He has continued his support as a corporate member and received the Chamber’s President’s Award in 2005.

David is the author of Take Pride in Your Money, a practical financial planning book and video series for LGBTQ+ folx that reveals how current politics and societal issues impact the queer community's rights, safety, and security and provides financial strategies to navigate them.
