Overview & Objectives

Hi. I'm David Treece, president of Treece Financial Group, and welcome back to my Take Pride In Your Money course.

In this session's lessons, we'll be exploring the topics of "gayging" alone and inclusive housing options for LGBTQ+ individuals, for, if, and when living on your own is no longer possible. First, I'll help you gain a better understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of aging alone as an LGBTQ+ individual.

Secondly, to learn about financial planning, budgeting, and investment strategies to ensure that your future needs are met.

Lastly, we're going to review types of senior housing options, so you'll be able to make a plan to downsize in the future to live the way that you want to live.

Let's get started by dispelling the myth that many partnered couples have of, "Oh, I'm never going to be alone".

Life may have other plans for you.

Spouses get divorced, get dementia, or die. So do relatives and friends.

You could have a traumatic health change.

Truthfully, we are ALL at risk of aging and possibly dying alone.
