I’ve learned it’s more about the “feels” than the fiscal

October 21, 2026

Let’s talk about something most people avoid …

The emotional side of money.

Because discussing money can bring up feelings of:

  • Fear
  • Shame
  • Greed

And sometimes all three at once.

Now, add in everything happening in the world and how people may be reacting emotionally to:

  • Political division
  • War
  • Inflation
  • Market volatility

It’s a lot. And it affects how you make decisions.

That’s where an advisor comes in. We’re trained to stay objective. But also empathetic. My role isn’t just numbers. It’s helping you see clearly. Sometimes that means saying:

  • You’re overspending
  • You’re not saving enough
  • You’re taking too much risk
  • Or… you’re about to make a mistake

And sometimes it’s protecting you from things like:

  • Scams
  • Bad investments
  • Fast decisions under pressure

You should never feel rushed. You should always get a second opinion. And you should always understand what you’re doing. Think of a financial advisor as:

  • A sounding board
  • A filter
  • And a reality check

That’s part of what you’re paying a financial advisor for - call it “financial therapy”.

Ready for your first “therapy” session? Schedule it now.
