Treece Financial has solutions to address your concerns about coronavirus and market volatility.
These may be things that you've never heard about, or not are not familiar with. But we work with money managers who are professionals who have a great track record of going to cash, making an account more conservative, or going into bonds and avoiding deep losses, but then they're still invested and then the money can come back when the markets turn around.
We're different. We're not going to tell you to ride it to the bottom and just wait it out.
This is particularly important if you're already in retirement or close to retirement and if you're taking withdrawals. We have other financial products that you've probably never heard of that we have had great success with. It could be things with guarantees like FDIC-insured CDs that still are they're issued by major banks and are market linked. Some of these are notes that are also issued by major banks—such as Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan Chase—and they may have buffers, so the bank will eat the first 10 or 25% of a loss. You may give up something on the upside. But right now, there might not be much of an upside, so you're probably not giving up too much.
We work with insurance companies that have annuity products that have the same buffers and floors so the most you can lose is a certain percent. And we can even mix and match so that if half of that may be a fixed rate, the other half of it may be subject to a floor or a buffer. So there are great alternatives there to still try to get some growth while controlling risk.
As Warren Buffett said, "one of the best ways to make money is not to lose money". So we're not going to just be like everybody else and tell you to not worry about it. Don't open your statement. Forget about it. Come back to us in a year after it's over. We have a plan, and it has worked.
We can help you find the financial solutions that best fit the flow of your life.
We encourage you to explore what we have to offer because there are great products out there, great money managers, and it's worked for our clients, our phones are not ringing off the hook with the market being down. It's happened many times before, and where we've had downturns and our clients are pretty well positioned. So if somebody does want to make it more conservative, we're open to that and we can do it. But generally we have done very well with this approach and we encourage you to explore what we have to offer.
